Urban Voices proudly presents the SEMO Homecoming Concert, a vibrant evening of live soul, R&B, and community celebration in honor of Southeast Missouri State University’s Homecoming Weekend. The concert will be held at Scout Hall, one of Cape Girardeau’s most beloved community venues, and will feature a dynamic return performance by The Phonics (aka Soul Phonics) known for their energetic live shows and soulful sound that blends classic Motown with contemporary R&B flair.
This event is designed to:
- Celebrate SEMO Homecoming with alumni, students, and the community.
- Showcase regional Black talent and culture through music and gathering.
- Support the ongoing mission of Urban Voices to elevate the voices, stories, and culture of African Americans in Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
This concert is more than just entertainment — it is an opportunity to bring diverse communities together under the banner of cultural celebration and artistic excellence. Proceeds will support future Urban Voices programming, including arts, journalism, and community events.
